Double Barrel Honey BBQ Chicken and BBQ Sauce

Double Barrel Honey BBQ Sauce:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Double Barrel Honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients: ketchup, Double Barrel Honey, apple cider vinegar, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, ground mustard, salt, and pepper.

    2. Whisk the mixture together until well combined.

    3. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low.

    4. Let the sauce simmer gently for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing it to thicken.

    5. Once thickened to your desired consistency, remove the sauce from heat and let it cool.

    Double Barrel Honey BBQ Chicken:

    INGREDIENTS

    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • Salt and pepper to season
    • Double Barrel Honey BBQ Sauce (from the recipe above)

      INSTRUCTIONS

      1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

      2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

      3. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are nearly cooked through.

      4. Brush the Double Barrel Honey BBQ Sauce generously over the chicken breasts during the last few minutes of grilling, turning and basting them to achieve a flavorful glaze.

      5. Continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C) and the sauce has caramelized slightly.

      6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

      7. Serve your Double Barrel Honey BBQ Chicken hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy the rich, tangy, and subtly sweet flavors of the bourbon-infused BBQ sauce!
