INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

    FOR THE SAUCE

    • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)

      INSTRUCTIONS

      1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, beaten egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

      3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

      4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, working in batches if needed. Once browned, transfer the meatballs to the prepared baking sheet.

      5. In a separate bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients: ketchup, Double Barrel Honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

      6. Pour the sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

      7. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.

      8. Serve the Double Barrel Honey Meatballs hot as an appetizer or over cooked pasta or rice as a main course, and enjoy the sweet and tangy flavors of the bourbon-infused sauce!
