Double Barrel Honey Stir-Fry

Double Barrel Honey Stir-Fry

  • 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons Double Barrel Honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

    1. In a bowl, mix the Double Barrel Honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil to create the stir-fry sauce. Set this sauce aside.

    2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

    3. Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned.

    4. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

    5. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry the bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas for about 3-4 minutes or until they are slightly tender but still crisp.

    6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables.

    7. Pour the prepared honey-bourbon sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet.

    8. Stir everything together, ensuring the chicken and vegetables are coated evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.

    9. Once done, remove the skillet from heat.

    10. Serve the Double Barrel Honey Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles.

    11. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.
