Double Barrel Honey Pork Chops

Double Barrel Honey Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Double Barrel Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Season and Sear:
Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

  2. Prepare the Sauce:
In the same skillet, add Double Barrel Honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary (if using). Stir to combine the ingredients.

  3. Add Soy Sauce:
Pour in the soy sauce and continue stirring the sauce. Let it cook for a minute to allow the flavors to meld.

  4. Deglaze with Chicken Broth:
Deglaze the skillet by adding chicken broth. Scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet for added flavor. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Return Pork Chops:
Return the seared pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over them. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through, and the sauce has thickened.

  6. Check for Doneness:
Ensure the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.

  7. Garnish and Serve:
Once the pork chops are cooked, garnish with chopped fresh parsley (if desired). Serve the Honey Bourbon Pork Chops over rice, mashed potatoes, or your preferred side dish.

  8. Enjoy:
Drizzle the remaining sauce over the pork chops and enjoy the delicious combination of honey, bourbon, and savory flavors.
