INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken breasts or thighs, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons Double Barrel Honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, mix the Double Barrel Honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil to create the stir-fry sauce. Set this sauce aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry the bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas for about 3-4 minutes or until they are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables.
- Pour the prepared honey-bourbon sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the skillet.
- Stir everything together, ensuring the chicken and vegetables are coated evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Once done, remove the skillet from heat.
- Serve the Double Barrel Honey Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles.
- Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for added flavor and presentation.
