Bourbon Honey-Glazed Turkey

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (12-14 pound) turkey
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup Double Barrel Honey
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

    2. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Double Barrel Honey, maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, and pepper.

    3. Brush the mixture over the turkey skin.

    4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for 30 minutes.

    5. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Cover the turkey with foil and roast for 1-1.5 hours more, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh registers 165°F (74°C).
