INGREDIENTS
FOR THE BREAD:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup Double Barrel Honey
- 1/4 cup bourbon (optional)
FOR THE GLAZE:
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon Double Barrel Honey
- 1 tablespoon milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, pumpkin puree, Double Barrel Honey, and bourbon (if using).
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- To make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, Double Barrel Honey, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
