Rim the Glass (optional):
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass. Dip the rim into a shallow dish of salt to coat, if desired. -
Combine Ingredients:
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec, and honey syrup. -
Shake and Strain:
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients. Strain into the prepared glass. -
Garnish:
Garnish with a lime wheel and a sprig of rosemary or mint, if desired.
Notes:
- Double Barrel Honey: This honey adds a rich, bourbon barrel-aged flavor that pairs beautifully with tequila. Adjust the amount of honey syrup to your taste for sweetness.
- Tequila Choice: Reposado tequila can add a smoother, slightly aged flavor that complements the honey nicely.
