  • Salt for rimming glass (optional)
  • Lime wheel for garnish
  • Sprig of rosemary or mint for garnish (optional)

DOUBLE BARREL HONEY SYRUP:

  • 1 tablespoon Double Barrel Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Water

INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Prepare the Honey Syrup:
In a small saucepan, combine the Double Barrel Honey with water. Heat over low heat, stirring until the honey dissolves. Let cool.

    2. Rim the Glass (optional):
Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass. Dip the rim into a shallow dish of salt to coat, if desired.

    3. Combine Ingredients:
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, lime juice, Triple Sec, and honey syrup.

    4. Shake and Strain:
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients. Strain into the prepared glass.

    5. Garnish:
Garnish with a lime wheel and a sprig of rosemary or mint, if desired.

    Notes:

    • Double Barrel Honey: This honey adds a rich, bourbon barrel-aged flavor that pairs beautifully with tequila. Adjust the amount of honey syrup to your taste for sweetness.
    • Tequila Choice: Reposado tequila can add a smoother, slightly aged flavor that complements the honey nicely.

This Honey Margarita is a unique twist on the classic, perfect for those who enjoy a touch of sweetness and complexity in their cocktails. The Double Barrel Honey adds a depth of flavor that's sure to impress!
